Essex Refugee & Asylum Seeker Drop In Service

Every Tuesday

British Red Cross opened it’s drop-in service in February 2012 and will be open everyTuesday in Tilbury. The Refugee Service will provide practical support and advice for vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and foreign nationals with no recourse to public funds.

The drop-in will offer hot food and drinks, a space to relax or socialize and if required access to casework assistance. While the British Red Cross does not provide accommodation directly, caseworkers assist clients in accessing a variety of services including accommodation, financial support, healthcare, and emotional and mental health services. A range of emergency provisions will also be available for destitute clients including a small fund to reimburse destitute clients for their travel to attend the drop-in.
