We are a voluntary group run by a committee of families who have a child living with Type 1 diabetes. We are based in South West Essex, covering areas including Basildon, Laindon, Thurrock, Billericay, Brentwood and Wickford. We offer: • Free Membership • Seasonal Newsletters • Regular Outings • Family Social Events • Bi monthly Meetings THE CHILBETES MISSION Our aims include giving emotional and practical support to the families of children with type 1 diabetes and to bring children with diabetes together and offer encouragement with their condition. Having a child diagnosed with diabetes can affect the whole family including siblings and grandparents. We therefore extend our support and welcome all members of the family. Membership to the group is free to any family within the South West Essex area that has a child with Type 1 diabetes.
