Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK is the UK’s leading national organisation that supports families and provides training to professionals across the entire spectrum of child bereavement.

We support families and educate professionals both when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. Every year we deliver training across a breadth of issues to around 5000 professionals at the front line of bereavement support.

In the UK, when a baby or child dies, or a child is bereaved, many of those affected are unable to access good quality support which meets their individual needs. Child Bereavement UK believes all families should have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Our aim is to make sure they do.

Our vision:

For all families to have the support they need to rebuild their lives, when a child grieves or when a child dies.

Our mission:

To ensure the accessibility of high quality child bereavement support and information to all families and professionals by increasing our reach and plugging the gaps that exist in bereavement support and training across the country and embedding standards in the sector.
