SEND Competition 1 - Design a mascot

Our SEND Mascot competition has now closed and we asked both the Chair and Vice Chair of Childrens Overview & Scrutiny to judge the overall winner from the shortlisted entries, previously announced.

We are pleased to say that the unanimous winner was Sophia Hardwick from Treetops School and College.

Sophia has chosen to call the Mascot “Awesome Roar Some” – a lion who is indeed both shy and awesome.

Her design will now feature on the SEND Local Offer and be displayed in the office window of PATT SENDIASS in Grays. In addition, Sophia will receive 4 tickets to a performance of this year’s panto – Cinderella which runs until 9th January 2022 at Thameside Theatre in Grays.

CONGRATULATIONS SOPHIA!

The SEND Inclusion Support Officer and SEND Quality Assurance Manager wish to thank:

All children and young people who submitted an entry

Parents, carers and settings for encouraging the children and young people to enter

Colleagues in PQBI for their support with promotion and shortlisting
